Great program! I have a potency analysis lab in Bozeman Montana, Montana Biotech. This type of program helps to bring legitimacy to a controversial topic, medical cannabis. The more we can disseminate accurate information the quicker the country will come around.

You’ll always have problems when posing drug questions to “Addiction Medicine” specialists like Dr. Voth and Dr. Drew Pinsky. Someone whose focus is on the addictive and otherwise harmful attributes of drugs will very often view it from that one narrow alley. When you’re a hammer, everything’s a nail. The end result is Dr. Pinsky telling kids (for 2 hours a night) that cannabis is a highly addictive and destructive drug, conveniently leaving out the fact that this only applies to people with genetic predisposition to addiction.
Honestly, the argument is over. The only reason cannabis remains prohibited is because prohibition is profitable. It’s no coincidence that the fiercest opposition is coming from paramilitary alphabet agencies (that shouldn’t exist in the first place) like DEA and ATF. I was appalled when my neurologist told me that he has to hold a permission slip from DEA in order to prescribe painkillers. Legalize cannabis and the DEA all but vanishes overnight. Since we now know that the ATF is aiding Mexican drug cartels, it follows that the removal of the cartels’ most profitable substance would likewise deplete the ATF. Also, the total halting of arrests for cannabis possession and distribution will deal a massive blow to the prison industry. Why legalize and tax cannabis when a tidy infrastructure is already in place?

What an articulate comment. English is my second language so I sometimes have trouble following people’s arguments. I find what is happening in the States very interesting.
My own country (South Africa) was the first country to outlaw cannabis in 1911. Why did they do it? Look at our political history and you will quickly realize that it made sense to the racist boers to have such an easy method of keeping their collective boot on the necks of the black man.
Today we are in an even more interesting situation. With a black government in charge we still imprison far more blacks than whites.
